What's on the menu tonight?

Let me tell you.

Rosemary and butter dinner rolls:
Prep Time: 3 Hours Cook Time: 20 Minutes Difficulty: Easy Servings: 7
Ingredients
* Frozen, Unbaked Dinner Rolls
* Melted Butter, Regular, Salted
* Fresh Rosemary, Coarsely Chopped
* Coarse Sea Salt
Preparation Instructions
Spray a small iron skillet with cooking spray (or coat with olive oil). Place frozen rolls in the skillet, leaving plenty of room for rising. Cover and allow to rise for several hours.
After rising, brush rolls with melted butter.
Sprinkle on chopped rosemary. Brush with additional butter. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
Bake according to roll package directions (usually 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes), until rolls are a deep golden brown on top.
Serve skillet on the table.

Wish Me Luck...

I'm going to try camping again. I know last time I swore it off, but it's just so tempting! Time of departure: 6:30 PM tonight.

On another note, I've got some great trips planned this month. Sacramento and a possible Florida or Hawaii trip. Got to get me some sun!

Ryry mentioned that Monocles are coming back in fashion. I loved the thought so I did some research. Turns out a UK brand called "Visions Express" is marketing them due to a high demand! Here is the article.

Fake Bake

I live in Orange County so sometimes I have to do the fake bake. In the past I have tried professional air brush tans and walked away unimpressed. So now I am on a mission for a cheaper, do-it-yourself tan.


The other day I tried "True Blue Spa - Solar Power" from Bath & Body Works. It worked amazingly well. No streaks, great shade (not orange at all), and so far it's lasted a solid three days (the bottle says to re-apply after 3 days or use their lotion that extends the time between coloring - which you can use for natural tans too). I practiced on my stomach first and waited a day. It looked good so I went all out on my legs and was very happy with my results. I sprayed it on, let it set, and then before it dried all the way I used my hands to spread it as even as possible.


My friend swears by Jergens tanning lotions. She says her trick is to get the shade darker than you are (if you are fair skin, don't get the light, get the medium). I'll be trying this one next!

Weekend Fun for Everyone. Weekday Fun Only for the Faint of Heart.

Friday I visited the Nixon Library followed by another viewing of "Frost/Nixon". I heart Nixon. Go ahead, mock me. That guy was pimp and you know it! If you have not seen Frost/Nixon, I highly recommend it. Frank Langella does an amazing job and I am always a loyal fan of Ron Howard.

Saturday I took a little trip to the Los Angeles Getty. I think if I could live anywhere in the world it would be at the Getty. Monet left me breathless. Other favorites: Camille Corot, Fernand Khnopff, J.M.W Turner (of course), and Special exhibit of work by Irving Penn! After the Getty I went to an amazing restaurant called "The Nook Bistro". It's a must dine for the next time you find yourself in Los Angeles.

Today I find myself having a love/hate relationship with Radio Head and being sore from a hard core Tae Bo session with SD. Tonight: 2fer Tuesday at Hennessey's Tavern. It is an addiction.
